Learn more about Kim:
Q: What drew you to Arborwear originally?
A: During college, I knew I wanted to design adaptive clothing that was functional and not just “pretty.” Arborwear is a perfect example of adaptive clothing for the end user and products that work with our client’s needs.
Q: How has the company changed since?
A: When I started, there were only 19 people in the company. Seeing it grow so much these past few years is incredible. Even more special than that is seeing how the company culture hasn’t changed. It is still very welcoming and family-oriented.
Q: What is your favorite Arborwear memory?
A: Bratfest and Crawfish Boil. They are always a ton of fun with so much good food!
Q: What motivates you to wake up and go to work?
A: Creating clothing that keep people safe on the jobs. Our world can be full of dangers but clothing should not be one of them. Arborwear makes clothes that help eliminate some of those dangers.
Q: What is your proudest moment at Arborwear?
A: Creating products that customers literally can’t throw away. It is awesome knowing that Arborwear’s clothes are not part of the fast fashion cycle.
Q: What is the best career lesson/advice you’ve learned so far?
A: Don’t rush through. It is OK to sit on something for a day or so to think about the best approach.
Q: What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
A: Hike, read, see my family and friends or hang out with my husband and our 2 dogs.
Q: If you could meet anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
A: I would love to meet my ancestors to see what my family history was like.
Q: What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?
A: I can’t whistle or touch my toes.
Q: What are 3 words to describe you?
A: Friendly, loyal, and quiet.
Hi-5 Kim for all of your contributions over the years, we appreciate you more than you’ll ever know!
