A Q&A with our employee who makes Arborwear so amazing
Arborwear is a very special place, and it is the employees who make it so special. Our connections are what cultivates our family culture. That is why we are spotlighting our employees' alignment with our company vision, mission, and values. Dominic Russo is our Brand Designer who has been with Arborwear for 5 years! Learn more about Dominic Russo:
Q: What drew you to Arborwear originally?
A: Arborwear employee, Lisa McKelvey, told me how great it was to work here. I had always known Arborwear for super high quality clothing.
Q: How has the company changed since?
A: The company is growing like crazy. Processes for getting things done are tighter and getting more and more streamlined.
Q: What is your favorite Arborwear memory?
A: I think my favorite memory would have to be my first Bratfest. I told Bill that I would be happy to cook (and he LET me!) Now, every party since has been filled with great times around a smoky grill or crawfish pot. It's fast-paced and there's no place else I'd rather be!
Q: What motivates you to wake up and go to work?
A: My motivation is to create an Arborwear experience that makes people want to come back.
Q: What is your proudest moment at Arborwear?
A: Starting our in-house embellishment department and making the best of the space we had available.
Q: What is the best career lesson/advice you’ve learned so far?
A: The best and most successful people are proud of their work but not content to rest on what happened yesterday. Always forward.
Q: What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
A: I'm a maker and I love wood projects. Building, restoring, reclaiming. Always with friends about me (and always Cath!)
Q: If you could meet anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
A: It's silly, but I would have liked to meet Prince. His thought process was so layered and seemingly 10 steps ahead of everyone else.
Q: What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?
A: When I was little, I was convinced that I was going to be a VET because I wanted to help animals.
Q: What are 3 words to describe you?
A:Simple. Sincere. Good-hearted.
Hi-5 Dominic Russo for all of your contributions over the years, we appreciate you more than you’ll ever know!
