The Legends Are True™

Since Arborwear’s humble beginnings in 1998 at the Paul Bunyan show, there have been legendary people and stories that helped us grow into the workwear source that we are today.

From tattoos to rare pink pants and every piece of Arborwear folklore in between, we would not be the green industry’s most trusted source without the support of our treeple.

If you are a proud Arborwearer, congratulations. You are in an exclusive club of hardworking bad-asses that expect the most durable, functional, and comfortable clothing.

Thank you for all of your support. To celebrate Customer Appreciation Week, we would like to share some of the stories that shaped our family.

Read The Legends Are True™ to learn more about Arborwear’s history, new and old.

Bill Finds Frogs

Once upon a time, Bill kissed a frog. For a good cause!

Our team captain collected frogs for a fundraiser on behalf of what is now The Western Reserve Land Conservancy for the Frog Kissing Booth at the Blossom Time Festival in Chagrin Falls, OH.

The Pink Pants

About 15 years ago, we attempted to make a pair of red pants for a tree climbing event. Innovative, eh?

These experimental pants turned out a little more pink than red, so we put them in our Bargain Cave. At a Bratfest event, our friend Jeff claimed them.

Jeff is still one of the first people to arrive at our events. Maybe to catch the Bargain Cave and see what is inside. He still wears the rare pink pants, and they fit him perfectly to this day.

For those with rare or discontinued Arborwear in their collection, you are a true legend.

Jeff and Linn’s Very Arborwear Wedding

What happens when two amazing treeple fall in love? They get married in Arborwear of course!

Jeff and Linn met while rock climbing. The now-newly married couple loves the outdoors and all the simple things in life.

After Jeff started his own tree service company, Chandler’s Tree Service LLC in Eugene, OR., the pair decided to tie the knot.

They wanted their special day to be comfortable, so Jeff thought the Ground Flex Pants would be a great choice.

For those who trust Arborwear with outfitting them for the job AND the most important moments in their life, you are a true legend.

Michael “House O” Tain

One of the original Arborwearers, House has been working hard in our clothing since 2000.

The United States Army and Marine Corps Veteran spent 33 years in the tree industry nationally and internationally. In fact, he has worn Arborwear in every US state and internationally from Eastern Europe to the Middle East and many stops in between.

House has been a spokesmodel, ground man, trainer, poet, crane operator, technical writer, medical director, crew leader, consulting arborist, nurse and more.

For helping keep us true to our mission and making the green industry a better place, House is a true legend.

Tim Takes Antarctica

Tim Mullens hauls fuel 1000 miles from the research station of McMurdo to the South Pole. The trip takes about 17 days to get there and 19 days to get back.

Working in Antarctica’s negative double digit degrees is no simple task. However, Tim is an Arborwearer. He can handle it. Tim wears his Double Thick Full Zip to stay warm on the frigid trip. He knows that the sweatshirt will cut the wind chill on the most extreme weathered place on Earth.

For bearing the fiercest cold and rocking a Double Thick Sweatshirt to get the job done, Tim is a true legend.

Philip “Arborguy” Ruiz

Not many things could get Phil to leave sunny Southern California except to help keep people safe, even if it means traveling to Ohio. As Safety Supervisor at Wright Tree, Phil will do whatever it takes to teach safety.

When you’re traveling for work and meeting new people along the way, you want to make an excellent impression. We are confident that Phil always leaves an impact on those he meets.

For helping to ensure the tree care industry operates as safely as possible, Phil is a true legend.

Nicole: Expert Turkey Guide

Inside Sales Representative Nicole Hollis has a true passion for the outdoors. She’s hardworking, she’s humble, and now she might just go pro as a turkey hunter.

The Arborwear family is so special because of people like Nicole who climb extra high to build relationships, share their passions and make great memories.

Nicole is a true legend.

Arborwear Sock Monkey

Our Data Integrity Supervisor Kathy Loraine once taught us how to create sock monkeys out of Arborwear socks.

These creative gifts are perfect for the pet or young Arborwearer in your life.

For being an in-house professor and teaching us innovative and sustainable ways to give gifts, Kathy is a true legend.

Arborwear Can Hang

Gavin works nearly 1000 feet up on a 4 inch steel beam. He says that when you are working in those conditions, completely exposed to the elements without shelter, his Arborwear sweatshirt allows him to focus on what matters: the work.

Thank you for trusting us to provide you with the best, most durable wearables. From work to weddings, we promise to keep you covered. We appreciate you all.

Now, it is your turn. Tell us your Arborwear story by submitting your Arborwear In Action pictures to https://arborwear.com/arborwear-in-action
