If you’ve purchased an HVSA wearable from us before, odds are you’ve seen this tag:

Instructions for Use for High Visibility Safety Apparel Class 2

Allow us to rephrase,

Odds are you’ve tossed this tag seconds after trying on your safety garment.

We’re not offended (maybe our Product Development team is). We DO want to make sure you understand what’s on that tag. Because taking care of your HVSA apparel maximizes its lifespan and level of protection.

Get the most out of your HVSA apparel with these care tips from our Product Development team.

  • Do not use fabric softener
  • Hang dry only

Premium Shade 2-Tone Long Sleeve T-Shirt HVSA Class 3 from Arborwear. This safety garment is moisture wicking, fast drying, and made with stain-resistant fabric. Caring

First and foremost, your HVSA garment should be kept clean to be effective. For washing instructions, refer to the part you just read. (You read it, right?)

Here’s a refresher, because we really want to drive this home…We suggest NO bleach, NO ironing, NO dry cleaning, NO fabric softener, and hang dry it ONLY.

If your garments are torn, noticeably faded, permanently stained, cracked, burned, heavily abraded, or damaged we suggest you REPLACE THEM.

In between uses, avoid storing your HVSA garments in direct sunlight, damp or wet conditions.

How long should Hi-Viz last?

If you follow all washing and caring instructions, your HVSA garment’s reflective taping will withstand up to 25 home cycles while maintaining the proper performance level.

Note: factors like rough working conditions, certain contaminants, and improper storage/cleaning can affect the overall lifespan of the reflective taping and garment.
