Helping Your Team Work

Some treeple who love Arborwear (Taylor Tree Service LLC in Prattville, Alabama) made a post about the meaning of teamwork. They shared the following quote by Henry Ford:

“Team Work

Coming together is the beginning

Keeping together is progress

Working together is success”

-Henry Ford

This message got us thinking about how our team works together to make our vision happen.

Vision: To be the green industry’s most trusted source of branded workwear.

We could not make the strides we do towards fulfilling our vision without the collective efforts of the Arborwear family. When everyone is working together as a team, we stay safe, we stay healthy, and we stay on track to benefit the hardworking folks in the green industry.

Here are some ways you can encourage teamwork on your crew:

Start off Right with an Onboarding Kit

New team members will feel welcomed and ready to take on the challenges of the job when they are properly onboarded and immediately appreciated. Hats, PPE, water bottles, pens, T-shirts, and sweatshirts are just a few of the many items Arborwear customizes and fulfills in these onboarding kits.

Departmental Retreats

A safe-working team is an effectively-working team. In order to work effectively, everyone must understand their peers and their work styles. Some people love to collaborate on jobs, some prefer to work solo. Some like verbal communication, some like written. A team retreat is a perfect way for everyone to learn each other’s communication style for effective and safe teamwork. (No trust circles or awkward ice breakers necessary!)  Get creative: Go on a hike, take an exercise class together, or try out a cooking class. Remember: every retreat is made memorable with a company branded t-shirt.

Branded Gifts

Giving your team the resources needed to present themselves professionally is crucial for the crew’s success. Designated uniforms - with protection and quality in mind – from head-to-toe will remind your team of your mission. If your growing business is not in the market for entire kits, a logo’d fleece or water bottle for onboarding, anniversaries, birthdays, or other recognition events lets your crew members know they are doing great work. This positive reinforcement will encourage them to keep it up and continue to be a team player.
